Cardinal Systems, Inc. of Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania announced today that it has acquired Modern Pool Systems, Inc. of Columbus, Mississippi. The purchase closed today in Atlanta, Georgia. Cardinal Systems is a leading manufacturer of steel walls, polymer walls, steps and coping for in ground vinyl liner swimming pools. “With our acquisition of Modern Pool Systems we are continuing to expand our offerings to the in ground vinyl market,” said Cardinal CEO, Skip Bradley. “We see this purchase as the next logical step in our efforts to bring the highest quality products to our customers.”

Terry Maurer, President of Cardinal Systems stated that there will be some operational changes, “We are moving the manufacturing operations to our facilities here in Pennsylvania, however we will be keeping the products under the Modern Pool Systems name and continue to sell all of our products through the wholesale/distribution market. Our plan is to make this as clean of a transaction as possible for all our customers.”

As part of that smooth transition, the founder and President of Modern Pool Systems, Frank Wall will become the Director of Sales for Modern Pool Systems. In that capacity Mr. Wall will continue to help develop new products, work with wholesale distribution personnel and pool builders around the country. “You know, when you start a small company, you want to make a great product and do a good job for your customer,” Wall said.  “Now to have a chance to leverage the scale and relationships of such a great company like Cardinal, I am really looking forward to the job we will be able to do together for all of our customers”.  The final terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
